I have "touched" Everest this month.

In a brilliant alignment of the planets, poor Ed Hillary, Everest, and Alfred Gregory (photographer on the 1953 expedition) have combined to give me the scoop of my nascent writing career, with a front page story and byline for the local paper.

Hey, this is working.
Today I leafleted the local town for death (palliative care) and music. Met a woman who wanted to know nothing about palliative care, as she had lost her partner three weeks ago to cancer. I apologised, wished her well and moved on. One can become off-hand about the most serious of topics, when dealing with them constantly.
